Golf Coaching

Four NZPGA Qualified Golf Professionals mean lessons are available 7 days a week. We cater for individual lessons and pair/shared lessons. Fullswing lessons with woods and irons, chipping lessons and putting lessons can be done anytime. Club hire can be provided and Gift vouchers are available.

    Jarred Mills

    NZPGA Member Since 2005

    Born in Nelson, Jarred moved to Christchurch when he was 19 which is where his golfing career has really taken shape. Representative at Junior level before turning Professional in 2005. Jarred has coaching clients at the top Amateur level with a New Zealand Representative right down to the Weekend Warrior. This is his favourite type of client as he takes great satisfaction in lowering those higher handicaps. Jarred has fantastic communication skills, years of experience with club fitting and an indepth knowledge with modern technology available. Jarred uses these skills to turn his golfers into better golfers. Jarred's philosophy when it comes to golf is to keep it as simple as possible. Jarred believes people learn best when understanding their swing flaws and learning how to correct them through the use of technology like video, launch monitors, effective training aids and drills.

    Wayne Davies

    NZPGA Member Since 1972

    Wayne has been a member of the New Zealand PGA for 43 years. He has been a member of the New Zealand Senior Golf team against Australia and 2011, 2012 and won the New Zealand Apprentice Championship in 1974. During his time his Clients have won the NZ Amateur, NZ U18 Junior Championships, NZ Ladies Veteren Championships and Internationally the Hong Kong, Taiwan and Indonesian Ladies Amateur Championships. He has coached the Bay of Plenty Interprovincial team and Internationally the Indonesian Golf team and the 2007 South East Asia games. Waynes believes to be a quality golfer you must have correct basics and a swing that has impact pressure on the ball. This produces distance and ball control. All great golfers have a wedge system to enable them to control the distance from between 100 yards to 20 yards from the green. "If you cannot pitch the ball you cannot play good golf"

    Philip Sheehan

    NZPGA Member Since 1996

    After a successful amateur career in Christchurch and Auckland from 1990-1996, Phil joined the NZPGA and has been the winner of numerous Pro Ams and Events in NZ and USA from 1996-2007. His career background includes the Papakura Driving Range and Manukau Golf Club from 1993-2002. Teaching professional at the Julian Kransky School of Golf in Philadelphia USA from 1999-2002. Head Professional at the Springfield Country Club in Philadelphia from 2002-2010 and currently has been with us from 2011. Over his 12 years working in the states Phil has been very fortunate to play with celebrities and on some of the best golf courses in the world. His favourites include Merion, Pine Valley, Bethpage Black, Shinnecock Hills, Oakmont and Winged Foot. Being able to play these courses on a regular basis has been awesome and the experience has really helped him in his PGA career. "Having been a PGA member for nearly 20 years I have through trial and error developed a teaching style that is not only easy and fun to learn but can help all levels of golfer."
